Just as long as I don't have evidence of french fries and cheese sauce on my mouth bc of the pictures, I'm good, hahahha.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15730614153490476015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-780663221629876568.post-21663265611659516562014-08-22T08:05:31.744-04:002014-08-22T08:05:31.744-04:00Thanks, Mary :) I am reassured knowing I'm not...Thanks, Mary :) I am reassured knowing I'm not alone!Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15730614153490476015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-780663221629876568.post-77930215593802096482014-08-09T08:25:52.770-04:002014-08-09T08:25:52.770-04:00Well count me as another plain Jane. People probably don't even notice, because my "normal" make up is some mineral powder foundation, eye liner and a sheer lip gloss. I buy clothes that are cute (not trendy), but they have to be comfortable AND they have to be on the clearance rack! I don't think I look sloppy or grungy, but I certainly don't look polished either. I can use a restroom without ever glancing at the mirror to see how my hair is doing. (Especially at WDW where I know what it's doing - it's frizzing and exploding all over my head!) My husband loves me this way and I'm happy. I will admit, I wish I knew how to do a better job of make up on the rare occasion that we're doing something fancy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-780663221629876568.post-38233380044362184082014-08-09T02:32:28.296-04:002014-08-09T02:32:28.296-04:00Hi Rachel! Your post was amazingly timely. I often...Hi Rachel! Your post was amazingly timely. I often struggle with this so I'm so encouraged by your post. I've recently listened to a pastor speak on inner beauty and the scripture he focused on was 1 Peter 3: 3-6.
(v.3) Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear
(v.4) but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.
(v.5) For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands,
(v.6) as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening.

*Don’t let clothing be your focus. Don’t put your main energy on the clothing but adorn the inside.
*Hidden from men but open and clear to God. concerns should be how you appear to God not to people. Excessive concerns means that we are enthralled with the wrong audience and not God.
*What a tragedy to giving our lives to painting a mask. The real you is not your face. Person in the image of God.
*The body is always a presentation of the heart.
*God prizes this beauty as imperishable because it last forever. No makeup can cover that.
*Why is gentleness, meekness, tranquility and quiet it is because we are restfully trusting in God and not in man. Not fretful or frantic because when a women has a peaceful soul it shows that God is her portion. Hope in God produces these qualities and that’s why God finds it so beautiful.
*These words should make a women fearless. You are Sarah’s children if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening. Thats a kind of woman you want. A woman that is quiet, peaceful, serene, meek, fearless, bold and not frighten by anything. A woman who get early in the morning is frighten all the time and is very insecure. we must hope in God and cultivate an inner beauty.

Yeah reading this often comforts me and gives me peace knowing that my identity is found in Christ and in Him alone. It’s a constant struggle to fight the voices of this world so I almost have to read these verses daily to remind myself what audience am I trying to please. When I realize that God should be my only audience it actually makes my routines more enjoyable and something I look forward to. I’ll pray for us! :) mary s.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16375423805617455075noreply@blogger.com
